This is the week. The week we prepare to gather with our friends and loved ones to celebrate Thanksgiving and all that we are grateful for. We joyfully prepare our traditional dishes of sweet potato casserole and pumpkin flavored everything. We make room for out-of-town guests and stock our liquor cabinets to brace ourselves for those family members we see once a year.
Once the big day has arrived to eat, drink and be thankful, we scratch our heads wondering what to wear. Most often it’s a casual affair with the focus being on family and friends, but planning our outfit for the day is still the last thing we need to think about.
This week, Nicole and I are going to take turns sharing a few of our favorite looks to help take the guess work out of your holiday. Each outfit is styled with a piece (or two) from My Style Scoop and paired with items from our own closets. We’ve included links to similar pieces that are no longer available so be sure to find them in the outfit details under the photos.

Sometimes being cozy is just what we need after our 2nd helping of mashed potatoes. This striped cape is the perfect layer to cover the pecan pie bulge that happens on Thanksgiving.

Add a pop of color with a graphic tee and fun festive jewels to bring a smile to your guests.

Adding layers to your outfit helps for those chilly temps and easy to shed once you get indoors.

Make life easy and keep your outfit simple with a sweater and jeans. If you’re not confident that those white jeans won’t stay white during dinner, swap out for a blue jean.
Stay tuned for Nicole’s post featuring Part Two of what to wear for Thanksgiving.
Have a fabulous holiday!
